Memorial Day 2019

Please Share!

This year marks the 20th anniversary of West Coast Thunder, the annual Memorial Day motorcycle parade that attracts an estimated 7,500 riders who make their way from the Riverside Harley-Davidson dealership to the Riverside National Cemetery to honor those who have fallen in service to our country.

The sights and sounds of the riders are truly memorable.  Thank you to our friend, Larry McGrath, for allowing us to share this photo he captured a few years back.

Over $1,000,000 in funds raised by the event are used to support the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee whose projects include the establishment of the National POW / MIA Memorial (dedicated in 2005), making repairs to the Medal of Honor Memorial, and providing financial support to the RNC Memorial Honor Detail.  For more information, please visit: West Coast Thunder History.

And, if you are in the Riverside area, a schedule of events can be found here.

To all who have lost family and friends in service, thank you for your loved one’s ultimate sacrifice.
